A couple of weeks ago a few of us local photogs gathered in the square in Carrollton to photograph Ashley & Tod’s engagement photos. I was intimidated at first … being around some of the best photographers in Dallas and all. The guest list included Allison Davis, Amy Karp, Andrea Crosswhite, Catie Ronquillo, Celina Gomez, Jared Rey, Jason Huang, Josh Littrell, Magaly Abbott, Stacy Reeves and Stephen Brown.

If you’re a new to the JA2 Photography blog … this post may throw you off a bit since it doesn’t have anything to do with the wedding and portrait industry.
Beginning in January 2009 I started documenting the construction of Section 32 of the President George Bush Turnpike Eastern Extension. I recently decided to create a separate JA2 Photography blog called Section32. The new site is specifically dedicated to sharing the images I capture from the construction area and all future posts regarding this matter can be viewed there. I will always blog images of major changes and also some of my favorite images. Viewers can also access extensive photo galleries within my proofing area. While viewing a gallery you have the ability to flag multiple photos in order to compare before and after. So if you’re one of the many people interested in this project please visit the new Section 32 blog at section32.ja2photography.com or click on the image below.

We decided to take advantage of the new AT&T Performing Arts Center in downtown Dallas for Catherine and Nick’s session while it’s still a new and fresh location. On the day of their session it had only been open to public for two weeks. It is a spectacular looking place with lots of cool and inspiring places to shoot. I’m sure they weren’t the absolute first … but they will always be able to say they were one of the first to have their engagement photos done at that location. But the delivery truck we found … they were definitely the first and only.
We’ve known these two for a long time and it’s great to finally see them about to tie the knot.
