You’ve seen them before and now they’re back for their big wedding day finale. It was a crazy day for Lindsay. Her day (mine too) started off in Rockwall for hair and then North Park for make-up before making her way to the church in the White Rock Lake area to get dressed … all before 1 pm! Wes on the other hand had a fairly relaxed morning … ironing his shirt was the most complicated part.
He woke up in a cozy bed at the Fairmont Hotel in downtown Dallas before heading to the church in a private bus with the wedding party. The day was even complete with the old pulling of the fire alarm trick at the reception … which couldn’t have been more ironic in a building full of firefighters. But it made for good pics and kept the whole fire truck theme alive. I couldn’t have pulled this day off without the help of Jared Rey … a big thanks to him for helping me out that day!

I’ve been waiting VERY patiently to post this bridal session! For those of you who don’t know … this gorgeous bride is my sister-in-law. Her big wedding day was two days ago and I’m so excited to finally unveil her images. To sum things up … her new husband Wes is a fire fighter … so she wanted to do something special for him. Fortunately … my in-laws have a couple of fire fighters in the family … so we were able to take advantage of one of their stations for the photo shoot. If you missed them … be sure to check out their engagement story and session. Look for their wedding images in a few weeks!

Here’s the next chapter of Jennifer & James’ destination wedding at the Zoetry Casa Del Mar Los Cabo Resort. I was going to follow Jared Rey’s lead on this one and mix these images up with First-Look images. But I decided to dedicate this post entirely to Jennifer and James preparing themselves for their wedding day. If you missed Jennifer’s bridal session … check it out here. And … if you haven’t seen Jared Rey’s images yet check them out here. Look for First-Look images to hit the blog sometime tomorrow.

A few weeks ago I traveled with Jared Rey to sunny Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to assist him with Jennifer and James’ destination wedding. It was the first time either of us had covered a wedding outside of the country … and we couldn’t have asked for a better couple to work with. Instead of one long post … this wedding will be divided up into multiple posts in order to coincide with Jared’s posts. Depending on how it’s received … breaking events up might become permanent practice. To start things off … here’s a look at a few images I captured during Jennifer’s bridal session at the stunning Zoetry Casa Del Mar – Los Cabos Resort. Be sure to check out Jared Rey’s beautiful images from the bridal session as well. You’ll notice a few of my images on his site as well. It’s always fun to see how differently fellow photographers process your images. Stay tuned … more to come soon!

I’ve been anxiously waiting to post these. A couple of weeks I tagged along with Jared Rey to an amazing Highland Park home to photograph bridal portraits of his lovely friend Jade. She’s not a professional model … but I would have never known had she not told me. She worked the camera like a pro … people like her make it so easy on us photogs. When I wasn’t assisting Jared with lighting … I was snagging photographs. Be sure to check out Jared’s awesome shots from this session!

I had the opportunity to be part of Wendy & Mark’s small and intimate wedding this past weekend at their home near the Firewheel Golf Course in Garland. It was such a pleasure to work with these guys … everyone was very welcoming and seemed very comfortable in front of the camera. Although this was their wedding … I was asked to focus more on portraits of family members, rather than the ceremony itself. We had a very small window of time to capture everything … so Jennifer made sure to keep me on my toes. This was my second week in a row to perform a shoot at a private home. It’s always a pleasant surprise to see what spots become interesting when you’re presented a limited environment. There were lot’s of neat spots in and around their home … but due to the cloudy skies … we had to stick to what we could find quickly outside. We squeezed in as many portraits as possible before the ceremony and captured the remaining few afterwards. There wasn’t much time for capturing details before everyone had to leave for the celebration dinner … but I did manage to nab a few ring shots in and around their kitchen. Thanks again to Wendy & Mark for asking me to document their day … we had a blast!

I had such a hard time choosing photos to blog from Rachel and Brennan’s awesome wedding! This is a long post … but yet … it’s such a small taste of what I actually captured that day. And … this doesn’t even include the days prior or the following day … or my personal photos. I took A LOT of photos that week! The wedding ceremony was held at the The Lutheran Church of Arcata. The fun then moved to the reception spot at Merryman’s Beach House on Moonstone Beach in Trinidad.

Jennifer and I had more fun that I could ever begin to write about while we were in California last week. I’m extremely jealous of the photographers that live in California … they have incredible photo session locations hiding behind every corner. This was my first destination wedding and I couldn’t have asked for a better couple … and their families … to have experienced it with. This first post contains a few images from their rehearsal dinner at Trinidad Town Hall in Trinidad, CA. I also convinced them to take a few portraits after dinner. The evening ended with a few of the guys playing a little tennis in their dressy clothes … can’t say I’ve ever seen that before.
Wedding pics coming soon …

I had the pleasure of helping a friend capture Celene & Henry’s wedding day this past weekend. The ceremony was held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church and the reception took place at Myers Parks and Events Center … both in McKinney, Texas.
