Last night was an exciting time for Jennifer’s family … her younger sister Lindsay got engaged to her boyfriend Wes. I knew something was up on Thursday when Wes called me to ask for her Dad’s cell phone number … and was without a doubt when Lindsay called yesterday after 9 pm for us rush over with my camera. He popped the question at Pappa’s Bros. Steakhouse in Dallas … also where they had been for their first anniversary. She was completely surprised and obviously said yes. She ended up not eating her meal … which turned out to a good thing … because the to-go bag made for some nice ring shots. It was so awesome to see them both so excited and happy and we wish them the best. Welcome to the family Wes!

We’re ringin’ in 2010 with a bang! Here’s the first of hopefully many more weddings this year. It also marked my wife Jennifer’s retirement as a professional bridesmaid … she’s a little sad. The outside temperature in Dallas was lower than it had been in over a decade … but overall it turned out to be a beautiful day for an awesome wedding. Thank you Catherine and Nick for choosing me as your photographer … it was a blast. And a special thanks to my brother David for standing in as “flash girl.”

I had such a hard time choosing photos to blog from Rachel and Brennan’s awesome wedding! This is a long post … but yet … it’s such a small taste of what I actually captured that day. And … this doesn’t even include the days prior or the following day … or my personal photos. I took A LOT of photos that week! The wedding ceremony was held at the The Lutheran Church of Arcata. The fun then moved to the reception spot at Merryman’s Beach House on Moonstone Beach in Trinidad.
I had the pleasure of helping a friend capture Celene & Henry’s wedding day this past weekend. The ceremony was held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church and the reception took place at Myers Parks and Events Center … both in McKinney, Texas.
