I’ve been waiting VERY patiently to post this bridal session! For those of you who don’t know … this gorgeous bride is my sister-in-law. Her big wedding day was two days ago and I’m so excited to finally unveil her images. To sum things up … her new husband Wes is a fire fighter … so she wanted to do something special for him. Fortunately … my in-laws have a couple of fire fighters in the family … so we were able to take advantage of one of their stations for the photo shoot. If you missed them … be sure to check out their engagement story and session. Look for their wedding images in a few weeks!

I shot Megan & Ryan’s e-session earlier this year in and around downtown Fort Worth and I can’t believe their wedding has already come and gone. Their awesome wedding and reception took place in a new and very cool venue called Off the Grid. It also happens to be a historic Dallas Power and Light substation building that used to power the street lights of Dallas.Off the Grid. It has tons of character and makes for excellent photos. Here’s a few of my favorites from the evening.

I had such a hard time choosing photos to blog from Rachel and Brennan’s awesome wedding! This is a long post … but yet … it’s such a small taste of what I actually captured that day. And … this doesn’t even include the days prior or the following day … or my personal photos. I took A LOT of photos that week! The wedding ceremony was held at the The Lutheran Church of Arcata. The fun then moved to the reception spot at Merryman’s Beach House on Moonstone Beach in Trinidad.

Last Monday I drove to Fort Worth to meet up with Megan and Ryan to do their engagement session. It’s been a while since I’ve seen these two and I was very excited when they asked me to photograph their wedding. They’re getting married in September … so it’ll be a while before you see them again. If anyone needs a hair stylist … Megan is your girl. Stop by and see her at Scott LeMaster Salon and Spa. You can also find Ryan playing drums around town. Check out his MySpace profile to see where he’ll be playing next.

Jennifer and I had a blast with Traci and Matt on Saturday afternoon. Despite the WIND and the spooky guy that thought he was the police … these two hardly produced a “bad” photo. I had a REALLY HARD time trying to decide which ones to delete and an even harder time figuring out which ones to post.

I had the pleasure of helping a friend capture Celene & Henry’s wedding day this past weekend. The ceremony was held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church and the reception took place at Myers Parks and Events Center … both in McKinney, Texas.

One of these days I hope to have an actual work related post. But I’ll be the first to admit that photo sessions have been on the dry side the last couple of months … but light rain is in the forecast next month. So until then … I’ll keep posting whatever cool stuff I come across.
Jennifer’s grandmother suffered a few strokes recently … the second one left her totally blind. So it’s crucial for someone to be around most of the time to help out. We’ve been spending almost every Sunday about 40 miles south of Dallas in Ennis at her grandparents farm. It’s been nice to get away from the city for an entire day every week … and definitely away from the computer screen. Of course I usually have the camera on hand just in case I get bored or inspired. You’d think I’d run out things to photograph … but on 40 acres … there’s always something going on. Especially the cows … some of them act like they know they’re in front of the camera!
Here are a few shots from last Sunday:
